The Ordinary Hero Guest House & Life Center was opened in 2013. We're more than just a Guest House, we're a growing family. Our Guest House holds offerings that set us apart to allow you and your family a life-changing experience during your stay in Ethiopia.

Among some of the things you will enjoy during your stay with us are extremely comfortable and spacious rooms, a breathtaking view of the city, private bathrooms, complimentary breakfast, and translators and drivers that are known as some of the best in Addis. Our Guest House stands five stories tall. Situated in Lafto Sub-City, we are walking distance from Kaldis Coffee Shop and Safeway Supermarket & Grocery.

Our meals are prepared by professional chefs, all inspired by American menus. Our family style seating allows you to connect with other guests staying with us.

A large outdoor patio includes a grassy area, soccer balls and toys available for use.

Our family room includes couches, a tv and dvd player. It also includes two dining tables for both meals and team meetings.

Our English speaking staff is always ready to meet your every need. They can answer any questions you may have about Addis Ababa or Ethiopian culture.

We partner with many ministries on the ground here in Addis, and if you are staying at our Guest House YOU TOO have the option of coming to serve with us. Our staff would love to take you. Ordinary Hero partners with and advocates for ministries in the Korah Village, located on the outskirts of the city trash dump where about 100,000 people live in severe poverty.

Ordinary Hero helps feed and empower children on Entoto Mountain through our partnership with Endihnew Hope Organization.

Ordinary Hero works with many small businesses that are employing marginalized citizens of the city. We would love to take you to go shopping for jewelry, coffee, pottery, scarves or other items.
